Beyond Konspiracy has had only one blogger to date, but I am currently discussing the possibility of collaborating with a couple of other bloggers; they might potentially be contributing here on Beyond Konspiracy and making some blog entries. I will keep posting the latest events and happenings on this.

Six degrees of separation is the hypothesis that anyone on Earth can be connected to any other person on the planet through a chain of acquaintances with no more than five intermediaries.
The hypothesis was first proposed in 1929 by the Hungarian writer Karinthy Frigyes in a short story called Chains. The concept is based on the idea that the number of acquaintances grows exponentially with the number of links in the chain, and so only a small number of links is required for the set of acquaintances to become the whole human population.
By extension, the same term is often used to describe any other setting in which some form of link exists between individual entities in a large set. For example, “see also” links in a dictionary entry may point the reader to other entries in the same dictionary; after following only six such links, the reader could potentially get to any word in the dictionary that has a link to it. In this special case of a dictionary, it is sometimes called the six links rule.

See, I know this guy, Eric Hufschmid personally. He claims that Kathryn Hufschmid is his half-sister. Now who’s Kathryn Hufschmid? Drum roll please … Well, she’s James Murdoch’s wife! And who’s James Murdoch? Drum roll please … James Murdoch is the CEO of British Sky Broadcasting. He was formerly an executive vice-president of News Corporation, the controlling shareholder of BSkyB, and served on the boards of directors of News Datacom and of News Corporation. With his wife Kathryn, née Hufschmid, he has two children. Who’s James Murdoch’s father? Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch!!! I am connected to Rupert Murdoch within six degrees of separation. Amazing …

While I initially set up this blog to write what I want to write about and not take too seriously, I am interested in politics. Also I am interested in alternative news on politics and different interpretations of news on politics. So, it’s very possible that most of blog entries are going to be about politics.

Why is this blog named “Beyond Konspiracy”? Here’s the background story. I was pretty stressed out late September 2006. September turned out to be a pretty rough month for my business, and also I had not been really taking any day off for some time. Combination of these two stressed me out greatly, and I had to take a break. So, I decided to take it easy in the first week of October. I started checking out free videos (Google Video, YouTube, etc.) for fun and I started reading odd websites. I also started looking into conspiracies out of curiosity. My goodness, … there are so many … pretty crazy websites. The French Connection is a pretty good one; I believe that the website claims that it is non-partisan, but if I have to pick one, then the website in on the left side of the spectrum. There are, of course, intrigueing websites on the right side (or end) of the spectrum as well, and Shelley The Republican is one of my favorite ones; Spinach Attack article gave me a good laugh. As a matter of fact, this article almost made me laugh to death. It’s weird, but reading all these conspiracies made me feel so much better and I said to myself “My god, I’m pretty normal. You know, I’m pretty sane, healthy and not that crazy.” I found peace beyond conspiracies. Shortly after this revelation, I thought to myself, “You know, why don’t I just set up a blog for fun? It’ll be a place for me to find peace.” This revelation led me to set up this blog, “Beyond Konspiracy”. You might ask why I named this blog “Beyond Konspiracy” instead of “Beyond Conspiracy”. The thing is that BeyondConspiracy.com was taken already, so I had to pick something else. I still wanted to pick a similar name and also make it sound cool, so I just picked “Beyond Konspiracy”.
